Zum historischen Hintergrund: Mit Hilfe eines Pater nosters wollte der Maschinenbauer Othmar Ruthner die „3. Dimension“ nutzen, um auf kleinstem Raum hohe Ertr\u00e4ge zu erwirtschaften. Des Weiteren wollte er mit einem Paternoster gleichm\u00e4\u00dfige Verh\u00e4ltnisse f\u00fcr die Setzlinge schaffen und so den Ertrag auf Grund beider genannter Faktoren maximieren.
