Es m\u00fcssen aber nicht immer professionelle Einrichtungen sein, oft erh\u00e4lt man Information, aber auch reale und mentale Unterst\u00fctzung bei Menschen, die ebenfalls vom selben Leiden betroffen sind. Das Robert Koch-Institut hat f\u00fcr Deutschland 2003 erhoben, dass rund 9 % der erwachsenen Bev\u00f6lkerung bereits Teilnehmer in Selbsthilfegruppen waren, rund 2,8 % sind aktuell in einer solchen verankert. Chronische und seltene Erkrankungen, aber auch belastende soziale Situationen und Lebenskrisen sind meist Anlass f\u00fcr Menschen, sich einer Selbsthilfegruppe anzuschlie\u00dfen. Das \u00f6ffentliche Bekenntnis zu eigenen Leiden kam erst in den 1960er-Jahren auf – dies ist auch die Geburtsstunde der heutigen Selbsthilfegruppen, die sich aus den Jugend- und Frauenbewegungen der gesundheitsorientierten Selbsthilfe des 19. Jahrhunderts heraus entwickelten.<\/p>\n

Breites Angebot in der „Allzeit Getreuen“<\/h4>\n

Um Betroffenen, aber auch Angeh\u00f6rigen, dieses breite Angebot vorstellen zu k\u00f6nnen, fand am 08.07. der 1. Selbsthilfegruppentag am Hauptplatz statt. Das Interesse an solch einem Erfahrungstransfer gegeben ist, zeigte sich, dass sogar aus Eisenstadt und Neunkirchen gekommen waren und sich informierten. Aber auch B\u00fcrgermeister Mag. Klaus Schneeberger – selbst durch eine Kinderkrankheit k\u00f6rperlich beeintr\u00e4chtigt – stattete der Veranstaltung einen Besuch ab.<\/p>\n
