Martin Mollay hat mit der Initiative „Obststadt“ eine Initiative ins Leben gerufen, die einerseits einen gewisse Versorgungssicherheit der Bev\u00f6lkerung mit heimischen Obst gew\u00e4hrleisten, auf der anderen Seite das Verst\u00e4ndnis f\u00fcr Kulturpflanzen erh\u00f6hen und die \u00d6kologie des st\u00e4dtischen Bereiches verbessern soll. „Nebenbei“ gibt es f\u00fcr interessierte Menschen die M\u00f6glichkeit, sich aktiv f\u00fcr die Umwelt und das Stadtbild als Hobbyg\u00e4rtner einzubringen.<\/p>\n

Referenzstadt Wiener Neustadt<\/h4>\n

Unsere Stadt ist zwar Ausgangs- und Referenzpunkt, dennoch hat sich das Konzept weit \u00fcber die Stadtgrenzen ausgebreitet. So sind beispielsweise Neunkirchen und Traiskirchen „Anwendergemeinden“, die sich aber bereits verselbst\u00e4ndigt haben und. Ebendort werden bereits jeweils ca. 100 B\u00e4ume von der \u00f6ffentlichen und privaten Hand versorgt.<\/p>\n

In unserer Stadt befinden sich in mehreren Stadtbezirken \u00fcber 340 B\u00e4ume, u.a. im Stadtpark, wo auch eine Kr\u00e4uterschnecke und dekorative Steinschlichtungen das Gesamtbild erg\u00e4nzen. Das Land N\u00d6, die Stadt und Feuerwehr Wiener Neustadt wirken unterst\u00fctzend – genauso wie zahlreiche Privatpersonen.<\/p>\n

Doch Martin Mollay und sein Freund und facheinschl\u00e4giger Kollege Martin Staudinger wollen noch mehr Bewusstsein f\u00fcr die – im wahrsten Sinne – „fruchtbringenden gr\u00fcnen Lebensr\u00e4ume“ in unserer Stadt schaffen. So werden von Jung bis Alt alle eingeladen, sich bei diversen Ma\u00dfnahmen der Bewirtschaftung einzubringen. Wer keinen Garten hat, kann sich genauso einbringen, wie Hobbyg\u00e4rtner, die ein Zeichen im \u00f6ffentlichen Raum setzen wollen. Aus diesem Grund beabsichtigt man die Gr\u00fcndung eines Vereins, um logistische Herausforderungen in Zukunft besser abwickeln zu k\u00f6nnen<\/p>\n

Doch nicht nur die Gr\u00fcnraumgestaltung, auch die soziale Interaktion ist Martin Mollay wichtig. So finden auch wiederholt Veranstaltungen in der „Obststadt“ statt, wo ein Rahmenprogramm f\u00fcr Jung und Alt geboten wird.<\/p>\n
