Trotz eines schwierigen Neustarts, nicht zuletzt wegen der harten Auflagen durch den Friedensvertrag von St. Germain und der völlig veränderten staatlichen und wirtschaftlichen Rahmenbedingungen gelang es Austro Daimler nach 5 Jahren der Rüstungsproduktion wieder, an die Sport- und Tourenwagenfertigung vergangener Tage anzuschließen und erneut zahlreiche Rennerfolge zu verbuchen. Der Nachfolger Ferdinand Porsches als technischer Direktor, Ing. Karl Rabe, erregte wiederum mit einer beeindruckenden Fahrzeutype, dem luxuriösen ADR, internationale Aufmerksamkeit….

Der Vortragende Gerhard Weinzettl war bereits in jungen Jahren von der Marke Austro Daimler fasziniert und begann selbst mit Restaurierungen – und ist inzwischen anerkannter Spezialist bei der Reparatur von Austro-Daimler-Fahrzeugen.
